Journalism Class: A Thrilling and Vigorous Class

When I was still in my first year level, many of my manangs in second year level use to tell me and my other friends to prepare for our second year life. I really don't know why they are telling this to me and to my friends. Until when my first year life is coming to an end, they told me that second year life is hard especially in our Journalism Class because the teacher is a terror. In those times, I was very, very scared to enter my second year life, I even thought of transferring school. Summer ends, and here I am going to second year level. I met my other teachers in different kind of subjects, they were fun. But still in my mind remains what my manangs told me about the Journalism Class. I checked my schedule because I am so tense if what time our Journalism Class will begin.

Here it comes, the most creepy and chilling class...the Journalism Class. The teacher went in, with poise while smiling to us. He introduced his self to us, his name was Mr. Paul Vincent Gerano. In my mind the phrase,"Oh my! this is the person whom my manangs use to tell me. He so scary...so strict!" is circling over and over again. Starting that day, whenever I enter his class I feel like I am challenge to do good in his class. He has a a great knowledge about the world. He know something that we don't know. He really show to us that being teacher must and always be informed what is happening around us. Journalism class is totally different from other class, that is why I really enjoy this class even though the teacher is strict. I always keep on looking forward this class every Tuesday and Wednesday.

Mr. Gerano's class is not a mind-numbing class. This class really makes me awake whenever I am sleepy. In this class we need to brainstorm, to understand more our lessons. During his class he does not lecture and lecture, but instead he set games and quizzes that, at the same time we enjoy and learn. I learn a lot of things to him especially in current events, vocabulary, latest trivia's and etiquette's. These things really help me in my other subjects. When he instill new things to us, my mind is overloading of ideas and things. He even enhance my confidence in speaking fluent English. In his class, it needs your full participation because he really, really hates people yawning and sleeping.

My first impression about this class and the teacher of this class maybe true, but I know he is doing this to prepare us in our future, he wants us to go out from our shells and face the world when we come out  from Assumption and I really admire him for doing this. Journalism class is a class that is worth it. When you enter this class you will never regret, for you will learn a lot. So I look forward for more exciting things to learn this school year in our Journalism class.

What I Want to be in the Future

I want to be a very successful individual in the future. But what is success? Success is when you bask the glory. It is definitely success when you are getting some remarkable results. How to become a successful person? I do believe there are three important things: to know definition of your purpose. to know what your goals is and have a burning desire to accomplish that goals.

To know our purpose means if we handle something well and like to do it the most, it seems that it is our purpose to do it. If we still have not found our purpose, we seize any opportunities to try something different from what we do every day. If we find it, we will know and loudly say to ourselves: "This is my purpose to do this". We should write down our setting goals and doing important decisions.

Since I want to be a successful Certified Public Accountant and Lawyer, I would be asking myself if what I want to achieve in 5 years as an accountant and lawyer. I will imagine myself as an accountant and lawyer in one year. What will I do, if there will be problems along the way before finishing these courses. I have already set my goal to become a CPA Lawyer so I just need to commit myself in fulfilling this dream.

I will never procrastinate things in order for me to be a successful accountant. I will not play it safe, everyday I will take my chance to move my target. i will imagine how I will fee, when I achieve it. Most of all I will be inspired by God to work harder every day to be a CPA Lawyer because my purpose in life is to serve my fellowmen.

My Awesome Family

People around the world especially Filipinos really give importance to their family. I grow up here in the Philippines with this kind of culture and tradition. I don't know why, why sometimes I feel angry when someone talk bad things about my family, I know everybody feel the same way too. Family for me is everything. Without my family, my life will be lifeless, worthless and the most miserable life in the world. My family gives me happiness that no one can ever give. Even though, sometimes they tease me "bukaw" (because of my big eyes) and treating me like a servant in our house, I could still feel the overflowing love and support they have for me. Our family is a circle of love, a circle of strength, where in every crisis, we faced it together that makes the circle stronger. I know things can be change but I believe I will start and end with my family. Our house are built boards and beams but because of my family our house became a home where it is built of loves and dreams.

************************************************

My dad: Very "kuripot," does not want to buy unnecessary things like cellphones, clothes, shoes and jewelries. Really loves to eat, he is a carnivore person. Loves math very much. Business-minded. Very practical when it comes to life decisions and choices. Super duper wise. For him, "time is gold."

My mom: Super duper strict when it comes to my neatness and cleanliness of my room, behavior, attitude and grades. Like my dad, very practical in everything. Very wise. Cooks really good. Very supportive, lovable and caring. Has a strong personality. She has this kind of attitude of not giving up easily, she has always hope for everything.

My brother: So naughty. Very wise. Loves to eat also, just like my dad. He is the "Jr." of the family. Some of his body parts, especially his armpit and legs are like of the girl's structure(seriously I am very jealous of her legs and armpit). Very good when it comes to driving cars and trucks. Really hates to study0__o. Has a strong personality, just like my mom.

Me: Likes to observe things around me. A joker=D. Knows how to dance. Loves to play badminton. A good  leader and friend. does not easily get angry. I easily forget and forgive people. Hates to hear the blackboard being scratch using chalk or fingers. Really hates blood(it makes me weak from head to toe, seriously). Loves to study. Likes to do stuffs like crafts using my laptop. Really likes to mingle with friends.

 Our FAMILY
is like the branches of a tree,
we all grow in different directions
yet our roots remain as one.
